Family History at State Records NSW

staterecordsnsw | September 14, 2009  The NSW State archives are an important resource for family historians because the collection includes records about people who had contact or dealings with the Government from the earliest days of colonial settlement. This can include records about arrivals (convict or free) in NSW; applications for land grants or leases; government employment for example as public servants, police officers, teachers or surveyors; licences for hotels or files relating to the administration of a persons last will and testament.

The video features tips and tactics for using the NSW State archives to assist in tracing your family history It is narrated by Christine Yeats the Manager Public Access.
